About Team Buck Hollow |
|
Julia Carroll began her love affair with German Shorthairs in the 1960’s when she and her husband obtained their first two GSP’s as companions and hunting dogs. Her first breedings were to Kay Von Der Wildburg and Adam Von Fuehrerheim. It wasn’t until she moved to her current home in 1970 that the Buck Hollow line was established as well as the Buck Hollow Boarding Kennel. Since then Julia has produced many American & Canadian Champions, Companion Dog & Companion Dog Excellent, Junior, Senior & Master Hunter titlists and Field pointed dogs. Buck Hollow bloodlines can now be found in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Africa, Greece, Columbia, Latin America and soon Sweden.
Lynn Fair fell in love with GSP’s when he was a child and a neighbor had a GSP that hunted the farm behind his home. He always said he was going to get one of them to hunt with. In 1980 we met Julia who allowed us to adopt a 3 year old Rescue GSP named Jesse. At this point Sunnie Fair fell in love with the GSP. When we obtained our second GSP in 1985 —Ch Buck Hollow’s Fair Heidi Ho CD, JH—we began competition in all arenas of AKC events and haven’t look back since.
Lynn has trained 4 dogs to Master Hunter and 10 to Senior Hunter; plus many, many Junior Hunters in multiple breeds.
Julia Carroll’s Buck Hollow Kennels is located between Reading, PA and Morgantown, PA near Maple Grove Speedway. The Fairs live on the eastern side of Reading, PA.
